First and Foremost
Massage is entirely therapeutic and non-sexual in nature. If  the client or therapist feels uncomfortable at any time, the session will end immediately.
All details are included here.

No Body Left Behind
I believe in the importance of respecting and supporting diversity and equality.
All bodies are welcome on my table.  Discrimination against gender, race, ethnicity, spiritual beliefs, age, ability, gender identity, sexual preference, weight, social status, or mental illness has no place within my practice.

Number of Persons in Treatment Room
Only the therapist and the client are permitted in the office at any given time. The only  exception that will be made is when a minor child requires the presence of  a parent.  Please understand this is to limit the amount of traffic and interaction within the office as a safety precaution.

Hygiene and Sanitization
All clients are required to thoroughly wash their hands and/or properly utilize provided hand sanitizer before entering the office. Touchless dispensers will be located both outside of the office door and inside the door, as well.  There will also be hand sanitizer located abundantly throughout the treatment room for use at any time. Please know that your therapist has been trained in proper handwashing techniques and will implement them before and after each session. This includes adequately washing up to the elbows.

**Illness**

Out of an abundance of care and caution, clients WILL NOT be charged for cancelling an appointment due to suspected illness or exposure to a contagion or communicable disease. This applies to themselves or a household member.
If you are unsure of your symptoms you must reschedule your appointment no sooner than 14 days after the onset of symptoms!

Cancellation Policy not related to illness
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients and staff,  please be courteous about cancelling your scheduled appointment. It is preferred that you give at least 2 hours notice so that someone else may take that time slot.  Repeated cancellations without sufficient notice will be evaluated and discussed on an individual basis which  may result in charges and the inability to continue services at this facility.

No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged the full amount for their missed appointment. You will receive an invoice via email and payment in full is due before another appointment will be scheduled.

Late Arrivals
If you are running late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you are behind, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the full session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other clients, please plan accordingly and be on time.

*Under age 18 Therapeutic Massage*
Any client under the age of 16 is required to have a parent/guardian present in the treatment room for the duration of their session.
Clients 16 and older must have an adult present in the waiting room.
Parent/guardian MUST read and sign a waiver regarding the policies that are specific to the treatment process of the minor child. Treatment will not be provided without a completed intake form and waiver.
Children under the age of 16 are *not permitted to undress. Instead, are required to dress in loose fitting clothing. Preferably shorts and and tank top/bathing suit/sports undergarments. The therapist is adept in effectively treating clients wearing clothing.
No child under the age of 18 will be treated without their expressed permission or willingness to participate. A child will be positively encouraged but never forced to receive therapeutic massage against their will. This does not mean we are going to give up on the idea of massage therapy. It means we are going to respect their decision for that day and reschedule if necessary.
Free 30 minute consultations in the office are provided for younger children and their parent in order to establish a rapport and comfortable level of trust between the client and therapist. It is common for this process to take between 1-3 visits.
Please be advised that sometimes massage therapy  for children looks different than what adults are accustomed to.
The therapist will follow both verbal and non-verbal cues from the child to give their body what it is communicating. It may be quiet, gentle strokes in a dimly lit room. It may also be deep static pressure or even rigorous movements and stretching techniques while listening to their favorite movie soundtrack.
**Please call or email to schedule consultations. Do not use online scheduling for this purpose. **
Thank you.
